Syed Talat Hussain (Urdu: سید طلعت حسین) is the executive director of AAJ Television and hosts the famous show Live with Talat. He writes for Newsline, Daily Dawn, Time Magazine, Daily Times (Pakistan), Daily Express and occasionally contributes to India Today.Talat Hussain was born in journalist family.His family is basically from a village “Sarkaal”,district Chakwal. He is younger brother of famous anchor and Analyst Dr. Riffat Hussain who works for News One and He is married to Tehmina Talat and has 2 kids, son Shamil Talat and a daughter Afza Talat. He lives in Islamabad.On the 30th of May 2010, Hussain was aboard the convoy amid conflict during the Gaza flotilla clash. Due to loss of communications, Hussain’s status and whereabouts are unknown although a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Pakistan) stated “the Government of Pakistan is seriously concerned over the well-being and whereabouts of the Pakistani citizens and media personnel including Syed Talat Hussain and Raza Mahmood Agha (both of them from AAJ Television) who were on board the Flotilla bound for Gaza. The Foreign Ministry is in constant touch with its Missions in the region to ascertain the well-being of our nationals.” and on June01,2010. he was released via Shah Abdullah II of Jordan and he came back Karachi via Dubai.
Such a hypocrytical and double standard stance. The whole article is based on character defamation and a holier-than-thou attitude.

Pathetic writing by TH. Full of negativity. This reflects the mindset to sell your point by attracting readers/audience thru cheap, ‘masala oriented’ jounalism. I used to have regards for TH but am truly disappointed. I now question his credibility in matters of information regarding politics as I don’t know how much of that is misinformation! The details in this article may be right but the content has been put up in a fiendish manner and really unwated and inapt. His atititude towards a generous donor and a fellow activist for flood relief is pretty disgusting. Is it the case that he only wants donations and only wants activism from people he finds morally good? Would he insult someone working for the same cause as him just to make a political point?

Well Talat could have abstained from commenting on her personal life and still made the point that “she does not fit the criteria for an eastern role model however she was correct in criticizing the kind of behavior Pakistani rulers are engaging in”

We all know what kind of a lady she is. yet comparing her with our leaders made her looks good. What a shame for the leaders. TH exposed her quiet harshly and he definitely have some reason behind this. He was, is and will be one responsible journalist of Pakistan (IA)
