Hamid Mir (Urdu: حامد مير, born July 23, 1966) is a Pakistani journalist and editor. He is news anchor, terrorism expert, and security analyst who regularly participates in international conferences. He is also known for his columns in Urdu, Hindi, Bengali, and English newspapers and hosts a popular political talk show on Geo TV with the name of Capital Talk. He was banned from TV by the military regime of General Pervez Musharraf in 2007. He was again banned by the Zardari-led PPP government in June 2008.

Rahimullah Yusufzai (Yousafzai) is a Pakistani journalist. He is the Resident/Executive Editor of the Jang group’s The NEWS international” at Peshawar bureau and is a op-ed writer for the monthly Newsline. He is especially noted for holding the last interview with Osama bin Laden. He also served as Time Magazine’s Pakistan correspondent. He is also a correspondent of BBC’s Pushto and Urdu services in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.
Yousafzai was born to Haji Adam Khan in Shamozai village of Mardan District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He received early education at his village primary school and then in public schools in Peshawar and Jhelum. He also studied at the D J Sindh Science College and University of Karachi. He was among the first journalists to report on the Taliban and visited Kandahar in 1995. He is one of the few bona fide experts on Afghanistan, having reported on the country since the 1980s.
Yousafzai is considered a commanding authority on Afghan affairs and on the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) of Pakistan. Acknowledging his achievements in Journalism, the government of Pakistan awarded him with Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in August 2004 and Sitara-e- Imtiaz in August 2009. He got Sitara-e-Imtiaz for his achievement in the field of journalism for another time on 23rd March 2010.

Nazeer Naji (urdu:نذیر ناجی) is a senior columnist in Pakistan’s Urdu press. He frequently writes in the country’s largest newspaper, Daily Jang, published from Karachi. with Nazeer Naji regarding Mr Naji’s plot allotment in Islamabad. The verified audio recordings of these phone calls were published on the internet on 19 April 2009 by popular Pakistani blog PkPolitics . Contents of this conversation are inappropriate because Naji have used a very abusive and slang language and threatened Ahmed Noorani and Ansar Abbasi (also an investigative journalist), which shows a new face of his personality.

Qazi Hussain Ahmad (born 1938) (Pashto/Urdu: قاضی حسین احمد) was the third president (1987-2009) of the Islamist political party Jamaat-e-Islami, a major political party in Pakistan. Ahmad was also head of the Muttahidah Majlis-e-’Amal (English: Council of United Action), a coalition between religious-political parties.Qazi was born in 1938 in the house of Maulana Qazi Muhammad Abdul Rab at Ziarat Kaka Sahib, Distt. Nowshera, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Qazi Sahb is decendent of great Seljoki Sheikh Hazrat Akhun Adeen/Adyan,who was a teacher of Hazrat kakaka sahib and contemporary of khushal Khan Khattak,the shrine of sheikh Akhund Adyan is at Akora khattak,the decendents of sheikh Akhund Adyan seljoki are titled as Qazi or Qazyan and mostly are living at ziarat kaka sahib. A teacher by profession, Maulana knew religious knowledge and political influence to the extent that he was appointed as the President of Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Hind for Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. Qazi Hussain Ahmed was the youngest among his ten siblings.
After having completed early education at home, Qazi Hussain Ahmad was admitted to Islamia College, Peshawar and got his Masters of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Geography from Peshawar University. He served as lecturer for three years, teaching at the graduate level. Owing to his inclination towards the activities of Jamaat, he did not continue in teaching profession. After that he started his own business. He marked his presence in this field and was elected as Vice President, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (Provincial) Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Najam Sethi (Urdu: نجم سیٹھی), an award winning Pakistani journalist and media personality, is the editor-in-chief of The Friday Times, a Lahore based political weekly. He was previously the editor of Daily Times and Daily Aajkal newspapers. He is currently the Editor in Chief of Geo News where he hosts a popular political program: “aapas ki baat”. He is the only journalist in Asia to receive three international press freedom awards in a decade.Sethi graduated from Government College, Lahore, Pakistan, in 1967. He was awarded the Presidents Gold Medal topping Punjab University. He took a BA Hons degree in Economics from Cambridge University, UK, in 1970 and was awarded the Davies Prize by Clare College, where he later spent a year as a PhD research fellow.

She has addressed top Think Tanks and other foreign policy forums across the world, drawing on her diplomatic skills and media background.
Lodhi has been the editor of Pakistan’s leading English daily, The News and among the country’s top political commentators. Lodhi taught Politics and Political Sociology at the London School of Economics and Political Science for five years – from 1980-1985.
Lodhi is the author of two books: Pakistan’s Encounter with Democracy and The External Challenge both collections of her essays on contemporary issues.

Irfan Siddiqui is the Urdu columnist, known to be the great supporter of former prime minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif. He started writing his columns on Nawaiwaqt. In July 2008, Irfan Siddiqui left Nawaiwaqt and joined Jang. He has been found criticizing Pervez Musharraf and his regime in Pakistan, very bluntly. He was also unhappy with the late Benazir Bhutto and her Pakistan Peoples Party, and wrote the same in the columns. He is currently serving the Jang group of newspapers.
